Then continue cycling through vast flowery meadows, enjoying the varied nature.
What makes this route so speciall, is that you will have to cross several waterways. Where volunteers are ready to bring you to the other side with a ferry. The ferries give an extra dimension to your ride; an experience not to be missed! Meanwhile De 8 van Grou counts 12 ferries and is also called “de Pontjesroute”. You can choose different distances and routes, ranging from 28 to 45 kilometers.
De 8 van Grou follows the system of the cycle route network. Using the numbers on the signs you cycle from node to node. These numbers are identified by rectangular green and white signs with circled numbers. The map also explains how De 8 of Grou got its name.
